Cancer is not an Incurable Disease
Congratulations! When Sean called and told me his cancer mass in his brain had disappeared from MRI late Friday (August 22, 2003). It is a great successful case using Chinese medicine and integrative medicine.
Sean was diagnosed with brain cancer in 1997 when he was 23 years old. He had a session of radiation therapy then was sent home. In 1998, he started acupuncture and Chinese medical herb tea treatment, which he continued for 3 years. During that time, his brain tumor had no change in size but he had no discomfort and his double vision was getting better. He continued his normal life. He thought maybe that was the best Chinese medicine could do. He stopped the treatment until his eyes couldn't move (the tumor grew bigger and pressed the oculomotor nerve) one year later. At same time his doctor try to gave him a new chemotherapy. The treatment became integrative therapy. When he received chemotherapy, Chinese medicine provided treatment to support chemotherapy positive function and reduce chemotherapy's illeffect, patents easer pass the therapy, also boost immune function and raise white cell count and platelet count, reduce the side effects of vomiting, loss of hear that induced by chemotherapy. For him, Chinese medical treatment plans supported the Western medical treatment plan. Chinese medical compare chemotherapy is weaker than Western medicine. If integrate Chinese and Western medicine together, the patents can receive the best results. This is the key for cancer patients to get success.
Cancer is a disease that begins in a cell. Normally, cells grow and divide to form new cells in an orderly way. They perform their functions for a while, and then they die. Sometimes, however, cells do not die. Instead, they continue to divide and create new cells that the body does not need. The extra cells form a mass of tissue; this mass can be benign or malignant (cancer). Cancer can metastasize to other parts of the body.
Chinese medical treatments for cancer patients depend on number of factors, including patient's general health condition, the stage of the cancer, the location of the cancer and what Western medicines are been used. Sean was diagnosed with brain cancer when he was 23 years old. His general health condition was ok. His treatment plan armed to the cancer, almost the treatment was chemotherapy of Chinese medicine. During that time, his MRI didn't show any change of image but his vision was better and he could continue his normal life. When his Western medical doctors decided to give him chemotherapy, the Chinese medical plan was to boost immune function and reduces side effects of chemotherapy. That is why his brain tumor shrank. When we prescribed Chinese medical chemotherapy for him we had to concern which Chinese medicine would work for the brain cancer, also we needed to concern that which herbal medicine could pass the bloodbrain barrier (BBB), also needed to concern the dosage of the herbal medication to ensure there was no or low side effects with great results.
